Program Associate, Days of Service

The Macks Center for Jewish Connections seeks a Program Associate to join their team, focused on the development, execution and follow-up of four annual Days of Service events. Days of Service are a core program for Jewish Volunteer Connection (JVC), engaging thousands of people in meaningful acts of service every year. The Program Associate will be part of a developing team, expanding engagement in Jewish life in Baltimore through learning, community building and performing acts of service that meet vital community needs. The Program Associate will engage lay leaders, staff, community organizations and businesses to plan and execute small, mid and large-scale service opportunities.

In this role, you will:
● Plan and execute four annual Days of Service.
● Manage planning committees of volunteer stakeholders for each event
● Delegate tasks to colleagues to ensure smooth operations for all events
● Maintain key files, including registrations, budgets, and proposals related to Days of Service.
● Contribute to a dynamic team and evolving organization
● Contribute to team culture, including a commitment to racial and social justice which is core to the team’s work.
● Provide support as applicable for new and existing programmatic initiatives within JVC and Macks Center for Jewish Connections.

What we're looking for:
A mission aligned and a dynamic self-starter who can proactively identify and address challenges and opportunities. You are eager to organize, improve processes, learn, and create meaningful opportunities through a justice lens. You have proven experience administering programs, supporting projects or events, and engaging with volunteers. You are excited about building a new innovative organization with a growing team and supporting community members on their diverse Jewish journeys.

● 3-5 years of relevant work experience, ideally in project management or event planning.
● Bachelor’s degree preferred.
● Ability to work in an energized, innovative environment with high standards.
● Excellent oral and written communication skills.
● Ability to multitask.
● Strong project management skills.
● Ability to work collaboratively and independently in an energized environment.
● Commitment to racial and social justice.
● Strong proficiency in Microsoft 365.
● Access to consistent transportation.
● Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed, including paid holidays.

Salary range is approximately $48,750 - $50,000. Salary will be based on qualifications, skills and experience.
